Low-cost electrocardiogram (ECG) sensors are used to read a user’s cardiac rhythm from their fingers or hands when they hold the equipped device. An initial enrollment period allows the system to learn the unique characteristics of the user and create a biometric template which can be stored on the device or in a central repository. Once the user is enrolled, they can be quickly and seamlessly authenticated on the same device during future sessions.
